Delerium 的音樂風格基本可以用兩個10年來劃分,以"Karma"專輯為分水嶺,迷幻柔美的電子曲風完全取代了前一個10年的冷硬工業電子風格

　　早期的 Delerium 是和 Front Line Assembly（這個樂隊也是由 Delerium 的創建者 Bill Leeb 和 Rhys Fulber 組建）相去不遠的冷硬工業電子風格。Delerium 的名字開始響亮，甚至壓過 Front Line Assembly，是從1997年的這張專輯《Karma 因緣》開始的⋯⋯。

　　這張以空靈美聲為主要風格的專輯，雖然本身就是製作十分精良優美的作品，但得到商業成功的理由，卻是其中嘉賓歌手 Sarah McLachlan 演唱的單曲《Silence》被重新混音成trance舞 曲版本，意外紅遍全球。《Silence》成為電音舞曲國歌 之一，連帶炒熱了《Karma 因緣》和 Delerium 樂隊。

　　由此可見，無論對於 Delerium 樂隊，還是 New Age 愛好者和電音舞曲的狂熱Fans來說，《Karma 因緣》都是一張相當重要的專輯。自此之後，Delerium 樂隊的音樂開始有所改變，實驗性成分越來越少，而更被廣大樂迷接受並喜愛。
