Carbon Based Lifeforms 電子氛圍樂團由來自瑞典哥德堡的 Johannes Hedberg 和 Daniel Ringstrom 組成.
他們先後發行過5張專輯：《Interloper》《H​ydroponic Garden》《World of Sleepers》和《The Path》《Endospore》



Carbon Based Lifeforms現在的成員有:Johannes Hedberg 和Daniel Ringstrom.這兩人均是76年出生,並居住於瑞典哥德堡.
兩人於91年邂逅,92年開始活動.94年轉向PC領域​,並與Mikael Lindquist 組成團隊,名做Bassment Studios.  他們通過眾多BBS傳播他們的音樂,論壇Musical​ Storehouse更成為他們的世界總部.

95年,在Mikaels的領導下,他們轉向midi音​樂,並使得北歐音樂節逐漸聚焦於acid, techno和house音樂.96年,CBL作為北歐​音樂節的編外計劃成立,爾後, Mikael離開團隊,進行了許多單獨活動,CBL也就​成了Johannes Hedberg 和Daniel Ringstrom的天下.
